We look first
Which drains, how often, what has been done before. That tells us which nozzle to bring and where to start.
We set up at the right access
An outdoor cleanout is ideal. If there is not one, we work from the best access point and talk about adding a cleanout for next time.
We jet the line
The nozzle pulls itself up the line and scours the pipe wall on the way back, flushing the debris out ahead of it.
We check the result
Water running for several minutes, so you know the line is open and flowing. If it is a repeat problem, we run the camera through the open line to see what caused it or whether there is damage.
We clean up
Jetting is wet work. We set up for it and leave the area the way we found it.

Length and access
A short kitchen line from an inside cleanout is a quick job. A long main from the house to the street is a longer one.
What is in the line
Grease and sludge move fast. Heavy roots and scale take more passes.
Camera work
Adding a camera inspection before or after costs more than jetting alone, and it is worth it when the line has a history.
Commercial lines
Restaurant and grease-trap lines usually need it on a schedule, which can be set up as a standing arrangement.

Around Bardstown, the jetting calls come from two places: older houses with cast iron and clay lines that have narrowed over the decades, and kitchens, at home and in restaurants, where grease has coated the line. Is hydro jetting safe for my pipes?
For pipe in sound condition, yes. When a line is stopped up, jetting is how we open it. Once it is flowing, we can put the camera through if there is any question about damage, and we talk with you before anything more is done.
Cable or jet?
A cable is the right first move for a one-off clog. Jetting is for lines that keep clogging, grease-heavy lines, roots and scale. If the same line has been cabled twice, it is time to jet it.
How long does it last?
Longer than cabling, because the pipe wall is clean rather than just opened. Roots grow back eventually; a jetted line usually goes far longer between calls, and replacing the affected section stops them for good.
Do you jet restaurant lines?
Yes, and for most kitchens it makes sense on a schedule rather than after a backup. See Commercial Plumbing.
Do I need a cleanout?
It makes the job easier and cheaper. If you do not have one, we work from the best access we can find and talk about adding one.
